Engineers Week 2018 took place from 24 February to 2 March and celebrated engineering across Ireland.
Organised by Engineers Ireland and Science Foundation Ireland, Engineers Week celebrates engineering across Ireland. Everybody is invited to get involved and inspire young people around the country to consider a career in engineering.
Veolia is delighted to support Engineers Week and throughout the week our water, waste and energy engineers visited schools and hosted visits on our sites.
Here is a summary of what we did:
- Ardscoil Trionoide Athy Secondary School (3rd Year) - school visit
- Kilkenny School Project National School (4th Class) - school visit
- HSCL Scoil Padraig Naofa (4th Class) - site visit
- Scoil Mochaomhog Naofa, Two Mile Borris, Tipperary (3rd Class) - school visit
- Scoil Chlochair Mhuire, Carrigtwohill, Co. Cork (6th class) - school visit
- St Finians Community College Swords (5th year) - school visit
Also, Veolia’s Frank Murphy spoke at water and wastewater seminar in IT Carlow organised by Engineers Ireland and CIWEM on Friday 2nd March.
