Over 600 Kilkenny business people gathered at the Lyrath Estate for the prestigious Kilkenny Business Awards. The awards are organised by the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce, sponsored by Vhi and were hosted by popular broadcaster, Marty Whelan. The awards celebrate the success, innovation, and excellence of local businesses across the county.

Veolia’s Kilkenny office is the hub of our water business in Ireland with roots going back to the 1960’s. Our highly skilled team of over 260 people is made up of engineers, technicians, project managers and operations managers.

These teams design, build, operate and maintain water wastewater and sludge treatment plants right across Ireland. We use a range of innovative technologies to help Uisce Éireann and industrial customers to meet increasingly stringent water quality regulations.

The overall Business of the Year was presented to Michael Lyng Motors by Therese Bourke from main sponsors Vhi.  Kilkenny Business Awards were presented to 20 outstanding local businesses during the gala event, as well as the President’s Award which went to Marian Flannery in recognition of her work on Festivals in Kilkenny and the Lifetime Achievement Award which went to Kathleen Leadbetter, from Jerpoint Glass.
